Mae pob ysgol gynradd cyfrwng Cymraeg yn ein hardal yn hyrwyddo nod ac amcanion y Siarter Iaith. Mae'r mwyafrif o'n hysgolion wedi ennill y Wobr Efydd/ Arian ac yn prysur baratoi i gael eu dilysu ar gyfer y Wobr Aur! O ganlyniad, mae'n bosib iawn y byddwch chi'n gweld y cymeriadau chwareus hyn ar ddeunyddiau a rennir gan ysgol eich plentyn.

All Welsh medium primary schools in our area promote the work of the Welsh Language Charter. They've already won the Bronze or Silver Award and are busy preparing to be validated for the Silver or Gold Award! As a result, you might well see these playful characters on materials shared by your child's school.

Every day is an opportunity to practise speaking Welsh but you'll probably see increased activity to celebrate certain occasions such as Diwrnod Cenedlaethol Barddoniaeth (National Poetry Day), Diwrnod y Llyfr (World Book Day), Diwrnod T. Llew Jones (T. Llew Jones Day), Diwrnod Santes Dwynwen (St. Dwynwen's Day), Dydd Miwsig Cymru (Welsh Music Day) , Dydd Owain Glyndwr (Owain Glyndwr Day) and Dydd Gŵyl Dewi (St. David's Day), of course!

Here are our targets as we work towards the gold award:

1.Datblygu system wobrwyo siarad Cymraeg yr ysgol.

Develop the school's Welsh speaking reward system

2.Penodi llywodraethwr sydd a throsolwg o'r Siarter Iaith. Adrodd yn ol i'r Corff Llywodraethu am ddatblygiadau Siarter Iaith yn dymhorol.

Appoint a governor who has an overview of the Welsh Language Charter. Report developments to the Governing Body every term.

3.Cytuno ar ddisgwyliadau ysgol ('non-negotiables') a'u rhannu gyda'r holl randdeiliaid er mwyn codi statws yr iaith Gymraeg ar draws yr ysgol.

Agree on school expectations ('non-negotiables') and share them with all stakeholders in order to raise the status of the Welsh language across the school.
